GLASSES AND PRESCRIPTIONS

Nividas frames are manufactured using cellulose acetate, a synthetic fibre extracted from cellulose in nature. The cellulose acetate is processed into thin sheets, from where the front and the temples of the frame are cut out. The cellulose acetate that have a pattern - for example 'Tortoise Classic' - have a unique look, meaning that among our patterned frames, there are no two pairs that look exactly the same.

The processing of the frames after they have been cut from the sheets requires extensive handcrafting. Every pair goes through several steps of assembling, such as grinding and polishing by hand. Each frame requires about four months of production, and the quality is inspected extensively throughout the process.

Our transparent lenses are produced and fitted at our German partner laboratory, and always include the necessary coatings; anti-scratch, anti-reflective, and water and dirt repellent coatings. These are treatments that would normally come as a surcharge at most retail outlets. Our lenses without prescriptions also include these treatments, providing you with the highest quality glasses.

Our sunglasses come with polarized CR39 lenses, which provide 100% protection against dangerous UVA/B rays, and enhance contrast as well as minimize glare from the sun.

Currently we offer prescription frames based on Swedish opticians’ prescriptions. If you have a prescription from a non-Swedish optician, you can email it to hello@nividas.com and we will verify whether it is possible for our laboratory to manufacture the glasses based on your prescription. We will confirm within 24 hours during weekdays.

Our frames, made of cellulose acetate, can be slightly adjusted when the material is heated. Most opticians and eyewear outlets offer fitting for free or at a small cost. We strongly recommend you let a professional adjust your frames if needed.

The reason we are able to offer such reasonable pricing is simple; we have eliminated all the unnecessary middle-men. We design and manufacture eyewear and sell directly to our customers through our own web-shop and retail stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. It gives us the possibility to combine great quality with affordable prices.

We ship globally. For all countries outside of Sweden, the shipping cost is EUR 9. Please note that the prices shown on our website include Swedish/EU VAT, and that for delivery to countries outside of the EU the customer might be prompted to pay local custom fees and/or VAT.

Yes - We offer a 30-day return policy, provided the product is unused and returned in the original packaging. Please note that shipping costs not will be refunded.
